Prosperity is a right.
A brighter future is lit from within.
Our mission is to assist and support financial, educational and health-related projects that provide opportunities aimed at improving the quality of life of women and their families in Riviera Nayarit and Jalisco.
Our Community
Sayulita is an idyllic seaside pueblo located in Riviera Nayarit, Mexico that draws thousands of tourists each year.
While many benefit from the tourism, most local women are employed in low-paying service jobs struggling to provide for their families in a pueblo that is growing prohibitively expensive.
Mujeres Movimiento-Sayulita was created to assist women and their children to better benefit from this tourism.
Several business ventures have been successfully launched, including the creation of:
Online Spanish language program that employs 13 women.
Seasonal workshops in which women are paid to teach cooking, Mexican arts and crafts and much more!
Business selling lovely stuffed animals to stores in the US. All proceeds go to support our programs and the people here in Mexico who make the crafts!
In addition to these businesses, Mujeres Movimiento-Sayulita sponsors several other projects in the community. Click here to learn more.
All of Mujeres Movimiento-Sayulita’s projects are spearheaded by local women. Mujeres Movimiento is proud to support this fine organization.
